ACC Management Committee
Khosro GHAMARI and the ACC Merit Award
Khosro Ghamari, President of the Cycling Federation of Iran participated in the ACC Management Committee Meeting which was held in Dubai, 24th Feb 2019.
Mr. Ghamari, who is one of the ACC MC members, is also head of Road and Trials Committees, was nominated for 2019 Merit Award and finally became selected as one of the three winners (Lebanon and Uzbekistan Presidents). His award will be presented to him during the ACC Congress in Tashkent, Uzbekistan (26th Apr) in the presence of the UCI President.
In this meeting, several items have been discussed the most important which were as follows:
*Annual report of ACC for the year 2018
*ACC financial report for the year 2018
*Proposed amendment to the constitution, report of constitution Committee: This part was the most challenging part of the meeting during which several ideas were presented to the committee and finally it was decided to provide the ACC MC members have some extra days to review the proposed modification, finalize their ideas and send it to the ACC Secretary General. The final decision will be made during the MC Meeting in Tashkent.
*Report of various committees of ACC for the year 2018 which was started by Road Committee and Trials Committee (both presented by Iran).
*Presentation of various continental championships:
-----2019 Asian Road and Para Cycling Championships – Uzbekistan
-----2019 Asian BMX Championships – Malaysia
-----2019 Asian MTB Championships – Lebanon
-----2020 Asian Track Cycling Championships - Korea
* Awarding of Asian Championships for 2020 & 2021: Resulted by the votes of the ACC MC members, Asian Road Championships 2020 is given to the UAE and the Asian Track Championships 2021 to Kazakhstan.
Iran has also submitted it's request for hosting the ACC Trials Championships 2020. It was decided that there should be a file to be presented by Iran during the next ACC MC in Tashkent.
The meeting came to an end with President Osama Al-Shafar's appreciation to the members for joining the meeting.
